As the Ohio State football program gets ready for the 2023 season, and the university prepares for the start of the academic year, the school is praying for one of its students.
Ohio State student Kyle Walker was found brutally attacked off campus at the end of July.
The senior Buckeyes student is currently in the hospital, following his off-campus attack.
“He was found late last Saturday night near OSU‘s campus unconscious with head injuries. He has suffered two major skull fractures, had bleeding throughout his brain, and was on a breathing tube in ICU most of the week. Kyle was transferred a few days ago via ambulance to a brain trauma rehabilitation hospital in Cincinnati to be closer to his family. Kyle is making progress but still has a long road to recovery,” the GoFundMe reads.
Walker reportedly took a Lyft home at 12:30 a.m. on July 29 and was found at 2:46 a.m. lying next to the train tracks.
A train conductor who saw him alerted 911.
Prayers are pouring in for his condition.
“Horrific. No parent should have to worry about the safety of their child like this when they send their student off to college,” one fan wrote.
“Please consider helping Kyle. I was violently attacked as an Electrical Engineering student back in 2003 waiting for a @CabsOsu bus in broad daylight,” one fan added.
Our thoughts are with his friends and family members during this difficult time.
