Actor and comedian Pete Davidson has reportedly entered a rehabilitation facility to seek treatment for Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

The decision comes in the wake of a tumultuous period for the 29-year-old star, which included a car accident in March that allegedly resulted in damage to a Beverly Hills home. Page Six reports that Pete was admitted to the same Pennsylvania facility where his friend, comedian John Mulaney, sought help for drug and alcohol-related issues in 2021.

The Car Accident and Legal Consequences:

Earlier this year, Pete Davidson and his girlfriend and co-star Chase Sui Wonders were involved in a car crash in Beverly Hills. The incident occurred when Pete purportedly lost control of their vehicle, colliding with the side of a Rodeo Drive home. Fortunately, neither Pete nor Chase sustained any injuries, and law enforcement confirmed that drugs and alcohol were not factors in the accident.

However, Pete was charged with reckless driving, potentially leading to fines, the loss of his license, and a maximum of 90 days in jail, pending sentencing. Subsequently, the damaged Beverly Hills home was demolished for undisclosed reasons, although the impact appeared to be primarily external, sparing the structure from significant harm. The homeowner revealed that his daughter, who was alone at the time of the accident, experienced some emotional distress but was unharmed.

Entering Rehab for BPD and PTSD:

Following a series of challenging events, including the car accident and a public clash with animal rights organization PETA, Pete Davidson has made the decision to seek treatment in a rehabilitation facility. The actor’s decision to enter rehab is not unprecedented, as he reportedly takes periodic breaks to focus on his mental well-being. Some speculate that this move may be a preemptive action to mitigate the potential consequences of the reckless driving charges. However, others argue that BPD, a serious personality disorder, cannot be fully treated or cured through rehab. They emphasize that managing the condition and seeking support are crucial for individuals affected by it.

Pete’s Ongoing Journey with Mental Health:

Pete Davidson has been open about his struggles with mental health, consistently advocating for others to seek help. In a 2020 radio interview, he encouraged individuals facing similar challenges to reach out for assistance, emphasizing the positive impact it had on his own life. Despite his personal battles, Pete has continued to pursue his career in comedy and acting. Recently, he appeared in the television show “Bupkis,” which has been renewed for a second season.
