Fox News host Tucker Carlson on Monday criticized Sen. Lindsey Graham over a Washington Post report claiming the lawmaker urged police to fire their weapons during the Capitol riot.
The Post on Sunday published an extensive new account of the violence on January 6.
One detail it higlighted was, it said, Graham bluntly telling police to use their guns as the rioters advanced on the Senate chamber.

Carlson has for months been promoting distorted accounts and conspiratorial “false flag” theories about riot, seeking to portray the protesters as peaceful conservatives ensnared in a government plot.
In a new documentary series he claimed the riot was instigated by the FBI, despite the absence of evidence to substantiate the claim. Some Fox News hosts and guests have pushed back against the premise of the series.
On Monday’s edition of his show, Carlson turned on Graham in light of The Post’s story.
“Really?” said the Fox News host of Graham’s reported remarks.
“This is the conservative position? Unarmed protestors show up, look, they shouldn’t have been there. We’ve never defended that and never would.
“But kill them? What the hell’s wrong with you, Lindsey Graham?” Carlson asked. Per The Post, Graham did not directly ask for officers to kill anybody, instead saying to officers: “You’ve got guns. Use them.”
Carlson continued in his attack: “How long before you’re ordering drone attacks on people whose politics you don’t like? What a revealing moment this is.”
The remarks highlight a rift in the American right over the Jan 6 riot, and Donald Trump’s role in instigating it.
Some Republicans who criticized Trump in the wake of the riot, such as Rep. Liz Cheney, have been ostracized from the party.
Trump has sought to defend the rioters and continued to push the election-fraud conspiracy theories that incited the attack, ahead of a widely expected presidential campaign in 2024.
Carlson on Monday also attacked Cheney, whom he described as a “left-wing wacko.”

I agree with Tucker Carlson I was out rage at Lindsey Graham’s statement. Just when you think you have heard everything. This country is going to hell in a hand basket.These Moron’s in charge are as bad as Obama ,Hilary,and the rest of them. They all have sold this country out. They have demoralized everything America stood for. My husband was a veteran and I thank God he is not alive to see this. Our Seniors are being kick to the curb ,starving but yet you would consider illegals are worth giving money to. As a American I have never been so down hearted and scared as to where we are headed.The anxiety I see and hear everyday from people is what we all are afraid of under this dictatorship.

Projection is Carlson’s stock and trade as he slams everyone else perceived not in agreement with him on any subject he is targeting in the moment. As the current reining prince of misinformation, disinformation, conspiracy theory falsehoods, and pitching anti-democracy like one untethered morally.
FOX advertises his spot as their most watched and Carlson their biggest star. Shame on America for allowing him his rise in notoriety. FOX reinforces this behavior in the millions of dollars paid Carlson for his disservice to the country. The First Amendment in our Constitution gives freedom of speech greater than all other countries on earth. Carlson squanders his right to obscene lengths. FOX is remiss in its responsibility to uphold truth and right generally expected standards in its industry. How far will Carlson be allowed in this his own opinion developing evermore conspiracy laden program content? His upcoming video offers case in point with snippets of select images it showers inappropriate praise on insurrectionists for unlawful acts against America in violent attacks on the highest institutions and spin this brazen attack into some legitimate group activity for Americans lodging complaints with their government. Carlson’s depictions of that day is that those involved acted no different than the usual tourists visiting the Capital Building that day. Evidence completely to the contrary detailing actual actions of the actors wrecking havoc damaging government building property and presenting imminent bodily harm to personals standing in their way and present in the building. Carlson’s production represents another of his forays in obscene sacrilege defiling the very institution granting him freedom in the first place.
Likely, no limits will be put down in this matter. No difference will be seen. Doing so is anathema for those stretching the limits of tolerance to its end. One, the profit motive over rules of ethics, for greed supersedes all considerations. Two, any attempt to reign Carlson in would be regarded by supporters as Cancellation. The so called Cancel Culture would be guilt slammed. It’s telling would go viral with indignation. That is how morally and ethically distant from our center, bound with undeniable self evident truths counted on by the Framers, our nation currently aimlessly wonders about. When I clear eyed perception regarding our nation’s future security belonging to all, everyone of us. All means all, not just those able and connected. But, the least of those amount us, being fellow citizens, are as deserving in exercise of individual rights Freedom grants them.
The Tucker Carlsons of this world sell propaganda for their own benefit, power, control, wealth unimaginable, caring not for truth that benefits all separated from political opinion. Society does best for all when shunned are things said are like deadly spears meant to cause harm and hurt others. Things always not completely true, baseless, False News.
