Donald Trump’s teenage granddaughter is facing a wave of online criticism after a TikTok video featuring military aircraft sparked outrage across social media.

Kai Trump, 18, found herself at the center of a digital firestorm after posting a short video showing her posing for selfies with helicopters behind her. The clip quickly went viral — and critics were not impressed.

The backlash comes at a sensitive moment. The video surfaced shortly after six U.S. soldiers were killed during a military operation targeting Iran. Some viewers argued the timing made the post appear tone-deaf.

Within hours, comment sections across multiple platforms filled with criticism.

“It just shows how unserious they all are about people dying,” one angry commenter wrote.

Another accused the teen of being “completely out of touch,” adding that the video came across as “very arrogant.”

Others questioned whether she should have access to military equipment at all.

“If military families can’t take photos like that, why should she?” one user posted.

Still, the criticism was far from unanimous.

Supporters rushed to defend the president’s granddaughter, saying the outrage had more to do with her last name than the content of the video itself.

“She’s a proud American with unique access. She did nothing wrong,” one defender wrote.

Another commenter argued the backlash was overblown.

“People don’t have a problem with the video. They have a problem with the name Trump,” the user said. “Those aren’t war machines — they’re White House helicopters used for transportation.”

Kai Trump has built a growing social media following in recent years, often sharing content related to golf, travel and life around her famous family.

But despite her family’s political prominence, she has repeatedly said she wants no role in politics.

During an appearance earlier this year on Logan Paul’s “Impaulsive” podcast, the 18-year-old made it clear she hopes to stay out of the political arena entirely.

“I don’t want anything to do with politics,” she said. “Politics is such a dangerous thing. I think if people met in the middle, everyone would be happier.”

Kai added that she believes social media has amplified extreme views on both sides of the political spectrum.

“There’s a lot of radical left and radical right,” she explained. “Social media kind of pushes people into one side or the other.”

The teen also revealed she often finds herself caught somewhere in the middle — a stance that sometimes frustrates people online.

“I think that makes some people crazy,” she admitted.

Kai even joked that her father, Donald Trump Jr., takes a far more aggressive approach online.

“I love him, but he goes to war on social media,” she said. “You’ve probably seen his tweets.”

Despite the controversy surrounding the recent TikTok, Kai has continued posting on her accounts as the debate rages on — highlighting how even the younger members of America’s most famous political family can quickly become lightning rods online.
