Trump Dynasty? Multiple Trump Family Members to Run for Office — “It May Not End With Donald Trump”

President Donald Trump may be in his final term, but the Trump political brand could be just getting started.

In a headline-making interview this week, Lara Trump suggested that several members of the Trump family are seriously weighing future campaigns — including possible Senate bids and even another White House run under a different Trump name.

Her message was clear: the movement outlives the man.

“It may not end just with Donald Trump,” she said.

Speaking on Miranda Devine’s Pod Force One podcast, Lara Trump — married to Eric Trump — admitted she has considered running for office herself.

“It’s really inspired me,” she said. “I would never say never to anything.”

The 43-year-old former RNC co-chair has flirted with political runs before. In 2022, she weighed a Senate campaign in North Carolina after Republican Sen. Richard Burr announced his retirement. She ultimately declined.

In 2025, President Trump reportedly considered nominating her to fill Marco Rubio’s Senate seat. That move never materialized.

But according to Lara, timing — not hesitation — has been the deciding factor.

“The timing has to be right,” she said. “It didn’t work out in 2022. It didn’t work out in 2025. But timing matters.”

The Trump family has spent nearly a decade reshaping Republican politics. From campaign rallies to policy battles to legal fights, the brand has become synonymous with the modern GOP.

Now, the question is succession.

“I think possibly many of us in our family” are interested in public office, Lara admitted.

She also made clear that President Trump would back any of his children if they chose to run.

“He certainly would have their backs,” she said. “He’s going to cheer for any of us if the time came.”

If there is a natural successor, many Republicans believe it could be Donald Trump Jr.

The eldest son has built a loyal grassroots following, frequently headlines conservative events, and remains deeply involved in political messaging.

At the 2025 Qatar Economic Forum, Don Jr. was asked directly whether he would one day seek the presidency.

“I don’t know,” he said. “Maybe one day, you know, that calling is there.”

That comment sent shockwaves through Republican circles.

Recent polling from McLaughlin & Associates shows Vice President JD Vance still viewed as an early 2028 contender — but his support has slipped significantly. Meanwhile, Don Jr.’s name recognition and favorability among the Trump base continue to rise.

One GOP strategist told our outlet, “If Trump voters want a continuation of the movement, Don Jr. is the most obvious bridge.”

Eric Trump has remained active behind the scenes, defending his father and helping shape campaign messaging. While he has not announced political ambitions, he has publicly floated the idea that President Trump should run again — even though the 22nd Amendment bars presidents from serving more than two elected terms.

“No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice,” the amendment states.

Still, speculation continues in conservative media about possible legal challenges or creative political maneuvers — though constitutional scholars across party lines say the language is clear.

American politics has seen family legacies before — the Kennedys, the Bushes, the Clintons. But the Trump era has been different.

More populist. More disruptive. More media-driven.

If multiple Trump family members enter races in the coming years, it could reshape GOP primaries nationwide.

A longtime Republican donor said privately, “The Trump brand isn’t fading. It’s evolving.”

For now, no official campaigns have been announced.

But one thing is certain: 2028 may not mark the end of the Trump story — only the next chapter.

And as Lara Trump put it, “The timing has to be right.”
