A resurfaced interview from the early 2000s is giving viewers a surprising glimpse at a much softer, more uncertain version of Donald Trump — and it’s reigniting speculation about the state of his marriage to Melania Trump.

The clip, pulled from a 2004 appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, shows Trump appearing noticeably nervous as he sat beside his then-fiancée just months after proposing. At the time, he was riding high as a reality TV star, promoting a new season of The Apprentice — long before politics would redefine his public image.

During the interview, Trump introduced Melania to host Ellen DeGeneres, who joked with the couple about their engagement and Melania’s massive ring. Speaking to 60 Minutes Australia, Wolff said he once asked a source close to the Trumps what was really happening behind closed doors.

“She hates his f—— guts,” the source allegedly told him.

Wolff suggested Melania’s distance could stem from multiple factors, including Trump’s long history of alleged affairs and his reputation for ignoring advice — even from those closest to him.
