Former First Lady Michelle Obama shocked listeners this week with a stunning confession about losing her cool with daughters Malia and Sasha — admitting she once told them she was “done parenting” after a chaotic night when “no one was listening.”

On a new episode of The Michelle Obama Podcast, the 61-year-old recalled hitting her breaking point when Malia was just 7 and Sasha was 3. “They were usually great kids,” she said, “but that night they were wild. I finally said, ‘That’s it — I’m done parenting. You can do this on your own!’”

The former First Lady said the room fell silent — and the girls reacted in completely opposite ways. Malia broke down and apologized, saying she didn’t know what she’d do without her mom. But Sasha? She simply grabbed her blanket, turned around, and went back upstairs to watch TV.

“As if to say, ‘Thank God, finally!’” Michelle joked. “She got about five steps up before I said, ‘If you don’t turn around and get back here…’ Well, it worked for one, didn’t work for the other.”

Michelle said the explosive moment revealed the girls’ true personalities: Malia, the people-pleaser, and Sasha, the strong-willed rebel. “Sasha’s like a cat,” she laughed. “‘Don’t touch me, don’t pet me, I’m not pleasing you. You come to me.’”

The bombshell revelation wasn’t the only emotional moment. Michelle also revealed she and Barack were supposed to see their close friends Rob and Michele Reiner the night they were tragically murdered.

Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live, she slammed Donald Trump for mocking the late director after his death, calling the Reiners “two of the most decent, courageous people you could ever know.”

“They cared about family, fairness, and this country,” she said. “And that’s the truth.”
